Come celebrate summer! This September Imondi Wake Zone is hosting the second annual Colorado Wake Fest filled with many fun activities on and off the water. From the Colorado Wake Park State Championships to live music under the stars. 

 

This September, Imondi Wake Zone is throwing the event of the summer. September 10th at Imondi Wake Zone is the 2nd Annual Colorado Wake Fest. It is open to the public, spectators are free to come and enjoy watching the cable wakeboarding State Championships. This year there is a huge bonus added to the competition. There is a $10,000 pro payout!! $5,000 going into Pro Men and $5,000 for Pro Women. Split throughout the podium, 1st: $2,500 2nd: $1,500 3rd: $1,000. If you’re not quite pro status, there are 9 other divisions including wakeskate. What division you go into depends on your age and/or your level of tricks. All divisions will be judged on composition, kickers, rails, flat water/air tricks and difficulty. You can enter multiple divisions to have more fun! Practice for registered riders is $40 (includes gear, if needed), practice will be during normal operating hours from 10am-2:30pm. Riders meeting starts at 2:45 and the first rider is scheduled to be off the dock at 3:00.

 

If you don’t want to compete in the competition there are many other fun activities you can partake in. You can take on the challenge of the aqua park or be inspired to try wakeboarding for the first time and take a lesson with one of Imondi Wake Zones instructors! Or you can take a paddleboard and go relax on the west side of the lake. There’s also volleyball, crossnet, cornhole and other fun free outside games to do with family and friends. All the normal daily activities are regularly priced. Along with the normal public activities there are additions added for the fest! After the competition there is the awards ceremony, followed by live music 7pm-9pm. For food, Dango burritos will be on site for lunch and dinner.
