Grand Junction’s Own Comic-Con!
November 20, 2019
From the funnies to intense graphic novels, comics are where creativity for most of the favorite superheroes began. Teaching morals, onomatopoeia, and artistic influence, comic books have built the entertainment industry. So much so that Comic Con has created its own empire of tradition.
Grand Junction, Co. is one of the many cities in the U.S. that host a comic con. Comic Con, Mesa County Library: 2019 was definitely one for the books. From costume competitions to quidditch, to live podcasts, the number of events that took place this October 12th was phenomenal.
Free to those with a Mesa County Library card or $5 admission at the door, the Con was jam-packed with activities and speakers, fandoms of Star Wars, Harry Potter, My Hero Academia, Stranger Things, and Modern Musical all grouped together throughout the day to participate in games and discussions.
This nerdy gathering of people celebrate their creativity in mind-blowing ways. Costumes and booths and lectures along with many other exciting events bring people from all over Colorado together, so celebrate your inner nerd and join us for Comic Con 2020!
