Luke Skywalker Inspires Young Boy to Stop Bullying
“It’s not the way of the Jedi,” Aiden Vazquez, a fifth grader, definitely lives by this motto when he was attacked by bullies at Two Bunch Palms Elementary school on a Tuesday in California. He was brutally punched in the face causing his eyebrow to open up and several stitches were needed, including his backpack was taken. But this incident did not go unnoticed. Iconic movie star, Mark Hamill who plays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies heard of what happened.
If you’re unfamiliar with what exactly a Jedi is, they’re people who are trained to guard the peace and justice of the universe and they all have special abilities they were taught to use with their minds. In the recent Star Wars movie: “The last of the Jedi”. Luke Skywalker was faced with a battle but didn’t fight back, and by doing so he won the battle when he fought Kylo Ren.
“SHOUT OUT to Aiden Vazquez for his courage & wisdom in the face of adversity. I’m so proud of you for showing that you can be a Jedi in real life. Congratulations, Aiden- The Force will be with YOU… Always!!! Your fan, mh” posted this in recognition for the boys reaction to bullying on his Twitter. Then the whole world noticed what Aiden Vazquez did to speak against bullying. “All I want is for every single kid to be safe, that’s all I want,” Aiden said.
Lizette Casanova and her brave son are planning an end to school bullying. Lizette has filed a criminal complaint and police are launching an assault investigation. So maybe next time bullies will think twice before messing with Aiden, the Jedi.
