A Break For Mother Nature In 2020

Ella Dillon, Editor

Covid 19 has cancelled the spring break, summer, possibly even next year trips for people all over the world. While this is truly a debby downer for the people and businesses affected, it does have one positive; a true break for mother nature. While tourism is a booming industry that many people enjoy, it’s unfriendly to our world. Pollution alone soars in some of the biggest tourist destinations and with travelling being a constant, there is never an honest time for us to clean up after the messes we have made. With traveling restrictions, stay at home law, and even lockdown for some areas, mother nature is able to finally heal without the disruption of walking pollutants. For an example, for the first time in 60 years, Venice canals run clear! So clear that dolphins were spotted in Italy’s most popular waterways. Although getting a trip cancelled is never the best news, there are beautiful things happening because of it. It’s her time to heal.
