Jake Nemith, also known as Nemo, is the new hall monitor for FMHS. You’ve probably seen him around, giving you a ticket or just hanging out. Either way,he’s chill and willing to talk about whatever. After Ron left, Fruita hired Nemo. Of course we will miss the teleporting ticketer, but we are welcoming the new hall monitor.
But as we all know Ron has left. Left us in the dust. As a hall monitor he would always be catching kids doing bad stuff and making sure the hooligans were in class at the right time.
Nemo was brought here by his fiance. She grew up here and is a past student at Fruita.
He previously lived in Pensacola Florida. During the summer, he coached in the Cape Cod Baseball League in Massachusetts. He was also a Tiger attending college at the University of West Alabama studying Education and playing Division ll baseball for 3 years.
He had one heck of a career playing baseball while starting 49 games, he had a .323 batting average, 43 runs, and a fielding percentage of .911 as a senior.
So far, he’s loving it here in Fruita with the all new scenery like the mountains. As the new Ron, you might think he would be nervous but no! “The students and staff have been very welcoming and made the transition so worth it,”Nemo stated
This year was a big year for Fruita with a new principal, new mascot, and a new hall monitor making the school’s morale better than ever. One of Nemo’s favorite parts of being the new hall monitor is the conversations and interactions with the students here. Nemith is seen around with stylish outfits including jerseys, cool pants, and fresh shoes. Oh and the sunglasses. We can’t forget about those. We are so excited to see what Nemo brings to the school this year.
