Rollerblading Ken and Barbie can be seen in any costume store you walk into.Kai Mcrorie, a senior noted that “The Barbie movie was extremely popular and the costumes should be popular as well” Of course, if you and your friend don’t want the bright neon green, you can always go for the Cowboy Ken and Barbie look.
Horror movies are a staple of Halloween, so you of course have the classics. You can go for the well known characters such as Ghostface or Michael Myers, or you can go the more in depth route. Horror movies like “Carrie” and “Hellraiser” are known for their gore, so why not attempt those looks? Pinhead from Hellraiser would be a truly unique costume, but no blood or gore so it would be more school appropriate. A Carrie costume however, would be lots of fun but would not be allowed at school.
Another popular movie this year was ‘The Mario Movie’. Mario and Luigi costumes have been done over and over again since the game came out. The movie brought a little bit more life to the characters. These costumes are simple with overalls and t-shirts (and mustaches if you’re truly dedicated). Lindsay Gammon, a Junior added that she believed that these costumes would be popular among kids, as that is what her little brothers are going to be. They can also be found in any costume store, and are a great duo costume for you and your friend.
Blow Up costumes are always a hit. Every year, you see at least one dinosaur running through the halls, and it’s absolutely hilarious. You can find a variety of different blow ups. The most popular ones tend to be animals such as cows and dinosaurs, but baby and sumo wrestlers are always an option.
