Grand Junction High School has undergone extreme construction work on campus throughout the summer and the fall semester, as an influx of students attends for the 24-25 school year.
Completely new buildings and renovations have been created and completed such as a brand new auditorium, completely renovated sidewalks, new sports fields, advanced technology for Tech Ed and Culinary Arts classes, optimized HVAC and LED lighting systems to save money and the environment, expansive hallways, tons of new classrooms, new bus loop, finely paved roads, multiple floors, and even more that will revolutionize the school. All this has been completed during the Spring 23-24 semester, over the summer, and into the Fall 24-25 semester. As such the new construction will help make the learning experience better and more enjoyable, since the new modernized school will have more things to do.
But, what does this mean for the students? Thousands are attending the school for the 2024-2025 school year, with 600 Freshmen alone attending! It makes you ponder what the hallway traffic is like over there. And yes, construction is still currently ongoing, even while you’re reading this. Students will be able to enjoy all of the brand new technologies and furnished areas, think of it like entering your new clean kitchen you just got a renovation on.
Grand Junction is notorious for having an outdated school. As such the new construction will help make the learning experience better and more enjoyable, since the new modernized school will have more things to do.
As the school year picks up for everybody, it will be interesting to see the fully finished Junction High and the new opportunities it offers for students living in Grand Junction.
