Holidays are a time for joy, giving, and being around family and friends. This time of year is extra special because it brings everyone from the community together to enjoy all of the wonderful things about the holiday season. In Grand Junction, there are many Christmas time events and traditions that everyone looks forward to. Here is a rundown of all the holiday cheer that Grand Junction offers during the most wonderful time of the year.

 

Tree Lighting

To kick off the season, Grand Junction hosts a big tree lighting downtown where kids and families can watch Santa light of the town Christmas tree.

 

Winter Festival

On the first Saturday of December, Downtown Grand Junction lines the sidewalks with nonprofits and vendors selling all the holiday goodies essential for the season.

 

Parade of Lights

One of the most looked forward to events and one of Grand Junction’s most cherished traditions is the Parade of Lights. Beautifully decorated floats light up Main Street for a huge parade. Bundle up to enjoy drinking cocoa and being surrounded by family and friends for this fun-filled night.

There are many exciting places to visit in Grand Junction if you want to go look at Christmas lights. Multiple neighborhoods throughout the valley go all out for Christmas time. Some houses even coordinate their lights to music!
