Life’s Show

By Elizabeth Crabtree

Silent as life puts on a show

The backdrop of the sunset sky with a glowing orange hue

Mother Earth making her stage glow

In spring the seeds begin to sow

Fertility of the earth erupts as all is new

Silent as life puts on a show

The sunlight glitters off the edges of the new fallen snow

And grey storm clouds above swell and  brew

Mother Earth making her stage glow

The clouds struggle against the stagnant heat, moving like salmon upstream, slow

The skies, the oceans, the summer moon, all a radiant blue

Silent as life puts on a show

The chameleon leaves slowly let go

And on an autumn breeze they flew

Mother Earth making her stage glow

The worldly performance continues to change and grow

A never ending queue

Silent as life puts on a show

Mother Earth making her stage glow
