Finally Having Freetime

As the year comes to a close, we get ready for summer and all of the fun activities. There are so many things that you can do while there is no school. The sun starts shining and the temperature rises letting new opportunities for activities come to be. Whether you will be gone for most of summer or will be staying in town, there are things that everyone looks forward to. Summer is a time for adventure. With longer days and warmer weather, there’s more time to explore and try new things. You can take a road trip, visit a new city, or try an outdoor activity you have never done before. Whatever you choose to do, summer is the perfect time to get out of your comfort zone and have some fun
We are lucky to live in a town and valley that offers tons of activities that allow you to stay out in the sunshine. Whether you like mountain biking, hiking, swimming, camping, paddle boarding, or all of the above, there is something for everyone. There’s something magical about sitting around a bonfire on a summer night. Gather some friends, roast some marshmallows, and enjoy the warmth of the fire. Of course summer is also a time for relaxation. After a long school year, summer offers a chance to slow down and take a break. You can spend lazy afternoons reading a book, taking a nap, or just enjoying the peace and quiet.
But summer is not only about the things you can do at home, it’s also about the chance to go places and travel around the world. Many students have very big plans during this time off school to go and see different places in the world. “We are going on vacation to Vietnam, then Korea!” says an anonymous student.
With so much time on students’ hands why not go and see the world. There are also many students who are going on trips around the country. “I’m going to be traveling to Maine with my family” says another student.
Summer is the perfect time to hit the open road and explore new places. Park up the car and head out on a road trip, stopping at interesting sights along the way.
Along with traveling, there are many students who are going to be traveling to see the colleges they plan to attend in the fall or colleges they are possibly wanting to apply to. “Going to visit colleges,” said a student. Visiting a college is an important step in the college decision making process. It’s a chance to explore a new place, meet new people, and get a sense of what life might be like as a college student.
Another great thing about summer is the food. From fresh fruit to grilled burgers, summer offers a wide variety of delicious treats. You can enjoy a refreshing popsicle on a hot day, or indulge in some ice cream after a long day at the beach. Summer is also a great time to fire up the grill and enjoy a background barbecue with family and friends.
If you are looking for adventure, relaxation, or just some fun in the sun, there is something for everyone. With longer days and warmer weather, there’s more time to slow down and take a break from the stresses of daily life. Whether it’s spending time with loved ones, reading a book, or simply taking a nap, summer is the perfect time to recharge your batteries and get ready for whatever comes next.
