One Spring school night, my mom came to me and said, “Guess what, Bella?! I’m taking you to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Concert in Denver!” I was so happy, I cried! My mom and I are the biggest Taylor Swift fans because her songs fit all our moods. My mom even bought me
a dress just like Taylor’s in her song “Fearless” to wear to the concert.
You might think it’s strange that I went to a concert with my mom, but Business Insider reports “Swifties also lean millennial, with that generation making up 45% of self-proclaimed avid fans. Additionally, 23% of those fans are baby boomers, and 21% are Gen X. Meanwhile, just 11% of that fan group are Gen Z”. However, Briggs noted that the survey only took the pulse of Americans 18 or older — meaning that the younger Gen Z contingent is not reflected.
What I do know is that at the FMHS Homecoming Dance, the crowd went crazy when the DJ played Taylor Swift’s song “22”! We are Gen Zers ages 14 through 18 so fans have to be more than 11%.
Going to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Concert in Denver was the best!
